Ym Mlwyddyn 6, bydd y plant yn cael cyfleoedd i gymryd rhan mewn cystadlaethau chwaraeon a chwisiau yn ogystal â gweithgareddau trosglwyddo yn barod ar gyfer ei thaith ymlaen i'r ysgol gyfun o’u dewis.

Byddent hefyd yn cael cyfle i ymweld â'r ganolfan addysg awyr agored ym Mhentywyn lle byddent yn dysgu popeth o grefft llwyn a chyfeiriannu i gaiacio ac abseilio.

Cynigir ymweliadau dros nos â chanolfannau Urdd yng Nghaerdydd neu Llangrannog.

Welcome to Year 6’s web page.

During their time in Year 6, the pupils will be given opportunities to participate in sporting competitions, quizzes as well as transition activities ready for their onward journey to the comprehensive school of their choice.

They’ll also have an opportunity to visit the outdoors education centre at Pendine where they’ll learn everything from bush craft and orienteering to kayaking and abseiling.

Overnight visits to the Urdd centres in either Cardiff or Llangrannog are also offered.

Y 1960au, lle mae plant yn cael cyfleoedd i ddarganfod beth oedd bywyd fel 60 mlynedd yn ôl. Byddant hefyd yn ymchwilio’n bellach am ddigwyddiadau allweddol y degawd, megis glanio ar y lleuad, llofruddiaeth Martin Luther King a thrychineb Aberfan.

The 1960s, where children get to find out about what life was like 60 years ago. They’ll also discover more about the key events of the decade, such as the moon landings, Martin Luther King’s assassination and the Aberfan disaster.

Titanic

Bydd y disgyblion yn cael blas ar sut oedd bywyd ar ddechrau'r ganrif ddiwethaf. Byddant yn cael cyfleoedd i edrych ar strwythur dosbarth y gymdeithas, darganfod llongau enwog y cyfnod ac edrych ar sut mae'r diwydiant morwrol yn llawer mwy diogel heddiw.

The pupils will get a flavour of what life was like during the beginning of the last century. They’ll be given opportunities to look at society’s class structure, discover famous ocean liners of the period and look at how the maritime industry is far safer today.

Technotastig

Bydd y disgyblion yn astudio darganfodiaethau’r byd dechnoleg. Byddant yn cael cyfle i ddarganfod mwy am arloeswyr yr oes ddigidol fodern, trafod manteision ac anfanteision y cyfryngau cymdeithasol ynghyd â sut mae consolau gemau wedi datblygu dros amser. Byddant hefyd yn cael cyfleoedd i ddatblygu gemau cyfrifiadur a gwefan eu hunain.

The class will look into the world of technology. They’ll have an opportunity to find out more about the pioneers of the modern digital age, the positives and negatives of social media along with how game consoles have developed over time. They’ll also have the opportunity to develop their own computer game and website.
